This was a small randomized controlled study using 21 patients divided into 2 groups. Both groups performed 10 resistance exercises 2 times per week, and one group also received chiropractic treatment 2 times per week.
Based on the outcome, it is concluded that in women with fibromyalgia, resistance training improves strength and improves the impact that fibromyalgia has on them. The addition of chiropractic treatment improved adherence to the training and showed significantly fewer dropouts and facilitated greater improvements in functionality.
